Nepal Cataract Blindness

In March 2010, a group of doctors of the Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology carried an entire Eye Care surgical hospital on foot, for 5 days up to a very remote region in Eastern Nepal. A film crew led by filmmaker Stefano Levi accompanied this extraordinary expedition. More than 200 cataract-blind people were able to regain their sight. Each operation lasted less than 5 minutes at a cost of about 25 USD.
